Matthew Hassett

Matthew’s approach to litigation is to ‘start with the end in mind’. It is not a step-by-step approach, every decision is taken with a view to securing the win for his client. Always fighting for the advantage, Matthew is an expert at securing the outcome his client wants, with a proven track record of doing so; your case is safe in his hands.

Outside of litigation, Matthew’s astute commercial awareness means his is able to review or draft commercial agreements with the foresight necessary to ensure that agreements protect against even the most unexpected eventualities. Matthew’s experience in litigation means that he can include clauses in contracts that have been tried and tested in the courts, offering his clients the peace of mind, that even if litigation does follow the contract, their agreement will give them the protection they need.

Alongside heading up the litigation team within Irwell Law, Matthew has a diverse range of client cases spanning small through large business.

During his career, Matthew has been involved in a variety of work, including claims for injury and clinical negligence as well as working as an in-house solicitor for a private company covering areas such as employment, debt recovery, procurement, corporate governance, contractual issues, and general commercial law.
